This middle-grade graphic novel for fans of Roller Girl and Smile introduces Jamila and Shirley, two unlikely friends who save each other's summers while solving their neighborhood's biggest mysteries. Jamila Waheed does not want to spend her first summer in a new neighborhood at science camp when she could be shooting hoops at the local basketball court. And Shirley Bones is looking for a summer of freedom too. When the two girls meet, they quickly figure out a solution for each other's predicaments: Their moms agree to let them spend the summer together, hanging out on the basketball court.
